I've started to paper trade the ATM Smart Calls but noticed an issue with missing the entry signals. In the Focus List, the "ATPos" column was added which will allow you to manually trade the ATM3 Smart Call option trades.
But I noticed I'm not getting the entry signal. Instead, the position just shows up the day after the entry signal and I've missed a whole day of the trade.
Please see attached Word document with many screenshots that clearly show the issue for the new trades of GT, and IGT.
Note, I went to my ThinkOrSwim Platform and reviewed the Option prices and determined that OmniTrader placed the trade in the morning around the open. So the prices showing in the OmniTrader can never be matched if you trade this manually since we would not be able to get into this position until the next day.
Thanks in advance for looking into this.

Thanks for the clear documentation. The problem is Port Sim doesn't show forming/entry signal trades. It only shows trades when they've executed/filled (day after the initial signal). That's how Port Sim was designed. And if you're using the option to trade Port Sim, then this is the resulting behavior since it can only show trades that come from Port Sim. I'll report it, & see if there's something that can be done. If you AutoTrade it wouldn't have that behavior.
I don't recommend trading options from Port Sim anyway since Port Sim only uses option modeling data. So there would be problems with the option to trade & the trade size, which is another reason to use AutoTrade instead.

Barry has the Nirvana development team had a chance to look at this? Note, "AutoTrade" is not a good idea for several reasons. One, it also has issues of sending trades a day late. I just opened up another message thread on that issue.
Second, I would never want to automate the trades for Options since the spreads can be very wide. Many equity options have become untradeable due to the very wide spreads...even big-name market cap stocks as found in S&P 100. For example, recently I saw Walmart (WMT) options with bid / ask spreads of over 100% difference. This is probably due to the Coronas Virus causing huge volatility in the markets. Thus, when I enter into Option trades, it is always manual but only after I've determined that the spreads are within reason (like no more than 5% to 10% spread).
Thus, I'm hoping the Nirvana team can get the ATM Trades properly added to the Focus List like traditional OmniTrader signals.
Thanks.

I reproduced & reported the day late issue already, though it's related to the issue I talked about above, so when we fix one we'll fix the other. I don't know when yet, but it's on our list.
It's still best to use AutoTrade for now. Use it with OT Paper broker is what I meant.
