Curious if anyone knows why the volume noted on the lower right of the chart in the volume pane (assuming it is making reference to V) often differs greatly from the volume recorded in a focus list column. This often impacts decision making about what kind of trade one may or may not take on a short term basis.

The volume at the bottom right of the chart depends on the timeframe you're viewing while the Focus List volume is always the daily volume.

Thanks Barry, would it then be correct that if you are looking at a daily chart that it should correspond to the V in the focus list column?

I would recommend placing a Volume Column in a focus list...then choose an omniscan list...run a TODO download so that all data should be current...then compare the first dozen charts' volume panes' and the Volume Column data in the focus list. I am not sure I have ever found a one to one correlation which is probably too much to expect, but in my observation many are off by a significant difference. It is not the end of the world but something that may need attention.

I did that test, Greg, & didn't see an issue. You might try it as well now that it's after market hours, perhaps the data was changing at the time you were trying it.

Barry, I apologize for the slow response but I did not have a visual way to show what I see and work for clarity on my part. The attached are from a Saturday run of a long list that takes most of a day to run. I took the first 3 stocks at the top of the list and did not cherry pick examples. Perhaps you can help me understand what I am seeing vs what you are seeing... Again I understand this can and most likely varies but in my mind these variations are large enough to question what is happening or my understanding of what I am seeing.

What you are pointing to at the bottom right is the highest volume in the entire chart. In your sample 3 chart, 931.9k is not the current volume. That is the highest volume in that chart for the available bars that you're viewing - for scaling purposes. In that case 6-26-20 has the highest volume. If you want to see the current bar's daily volume you can use the Focus List volume column, volume as a statistic in your chart, or plot the crosshairs & mouseover the current daily bar.
