Barry, during the earlier development of OV, there were comments about the advantages of incorporating real time. The general idea was to improve trade entries and exits.
With the addition of Strategy Lab with it's "System and List evaluator" and the ability to add various conditions, couldn't user selectable "Order Types" and "Broker Stops" be added to Strategy Lab without the need for Real Time to accomplish the same thing?

How would that allow someone to get multiple trades within the same day? You know the OmniVest Trades page? Those trades need to update frequently throughout the day for one to continuously get new open & close orders all within market hours. Realtime is the only way to do that.

Once "Broker Stops" are submitted when the trade is submitted by OV, price will trigger exits no matter what time of day without the need of Real Time. Conditions and Order Types for Re-entry can be user set in Strategy Lab incase an exit is triggered by a "Broker Stop" at any time of the day - again, without need for Real Time.

That doesn't exactly do the realtime trading that people expect.

Fred, If I'm trading Real Time, I may be in and out of the same stock or multiple stocks 3 or more times in one trading period (day). For instance, last week on Wednesday I was in 3 different trades with GILD. 2 profitable and one not. All this took place within 3 hours.

I agree, Cal. Adding real time OV trade capabilities would make OV a profit making machine. You don't need to use if it does match your style or have limited time to watch the market.
Currently, I set up the IB TWS platform when I want to day trade my OV portfolio picks. I watch my charts and either set TWS limit buy orders or manually send market orders. I'm able to often get better OV entry prices and take my profits the same day and not experience large drawdowns. Moreover, there are OV trades that go into a drawdown for a few days and I'm still able to day trade those OV otherwise potential losing trades to milk some more profits. Yes, OV does a great job finding the daily/weekly winners. Some real time TP features would make it hands down the premier trading solution.
Heck, they could jack up the unlimited strategies gold package price for new folks and we all would benefit from the future enhancements. My OV gold (unlimited strategies) purchase paid for itself last summer when I had more time to day trade using OV. It has been pure profit since. Real time OV would be a blessing and could shorting the OV downstroke purchase price timeline for others.
