Is this plug-in still working for the latest Foliofn and OT2009?

It seems to be working, but is not up to date with Foliofn. Foliofn now permits up to 100 tickers in a folio, but the interface still thinks the limit is 50. This turns out to be big nuisance because, in order to use the interface, you much break folios into two parts and operate them separately.
The interface will not permit you to place a trade position if the Focus List has more than 50 symbols. I will post a request to support to fix this problem.

(Also, for the Foliofn "basic plan" this would then double your cost of trading!)

Has this been fixed? Been thinking of getting this plug in. why not, only $100 and odd lots is a great way to start long term investing..

Yes, FOLIOfn is a great way to invest. Window trades are free and everyday trades outside the window are only $3. You won't find that with any other discount broker unless you are with IB and then you will have to pony up some more cash. Also note that you cannot short on FOLIOfn.

I can't say whether or not the plug-in is working or up-to-date or not (even though I have it) because I manually enter the trades directly on the FOLIOfn website and find it a bit easier to do so.

Record keeping is also super on FOLIOfn with a good user interface.

I urge you to check it out.

Yeah, $290 a year gets you:

Folio Unlimited Plan — with FREE Trial!
Unlimited access to 100+ free Ready-to-Go Folios
Unlimited build your own Folios
Unlimited Folios per account
Unlimited Commission-Free trading in twice daily trading windows
$3 market, limit, stop and stop/limit orders
Unlimited personal and retirement accounts
No trading minimums
No investment or balance minimums
No monthly or annual fees for your first 60 days
$29 per month or $290 per year

What's not to like!

Also dividends may be set up for automatic re-investment much like a DRIP.

By the way, in the past out of window trades for me were executed with the same speed as Scottrade where I pay $7 in and $7 out.

You convinced me. I'm getting it tomorrow. I further looked into the sight - What a deal! This is perfect for creating a retirement account. I wonder if I can rollover my 401k? I forgot to look into that.

I still have my account at scottrade, but I like Integrated Brokerage so much that I opened a new account at MB Trading. Its just so robust and convenient. especially how some of the tools from MB Trading interface are integrated right into OT and VT.

I have heard Interactive Brokers is better, but I, no where's near qualify to open an account there. So luckily N has a deal with MB and i'm really really liking them. I still like scottrade tho, b/c the only costs are the $7 trades. all research tools, data feeds, news feeds - they are all free. In fact, for about 3 years, my Scottrade balance was ZERO and I still had FULL functionality.

anyways, can't wait to get this account at FolioFN !!! Terrific, just terrific!

Yes, I have a Roth IRA there and so I am sure you can do a roll-over. Just remember you can't short at FOLIOfn. However, from your comments I am sure you were not able to at Scottrade either (you need a $25,000 account minimum). However, if the market starts to go against you legally you can buy UltraShorts and make money as the market goes down. This is also true in an IRA which is very nice. You don't have to be a loser just because you can't afford the minimum shorting requirement in a bear market. While not doing especially well in the recent market upsurge, the following portfolio could prove to be a winner on the way down:

https://www.folioinvesting.com/rtg/folio.jsp?name=Bear%20Market%202X

There is also a 1.5X Bear Market Portfolio as well as 137 more canned portfolios with any diversification you can think of.

You could even start your children off in investing here and give them a more practical education than they would ever obtain in school.

Tom,

Boy, besides your feedback on HCT, this is some of the best info you have ever given me. I'm estatic! Fantabuloustic!

I have never heard of "UltraShorts" but I now can NOT wait to learn more about them! Just read that article you linked. Great content!

Recently I finished a book on Options and I was going to start reading one on currencies. But, in fact, Maybe i'll put the new one down and open up my ETF and Index fund book as i clearly no very little about them.

Looks like "EYEGUY" has an Eye for trading creativity! lol.

For more information on UltraShorts see;

Also, a Google or Bing search will get you more information.

There are even 3X UtraShorts now.

Excellent - that was perfect!
