I am using the portfolio practice account and have noticed that there have been a few trades that were either positive or negative at the close of the trade that posted just the opposite in Position History of what the close actually was + or -. At first I thought maybe this was the interest charge for carry over {Forex} but last night {prior to midnight} was the zinger. I had a -$7400 trade which I closed and it posted a $38,400 profit {man I wished it worked in the real world that way} and in the Quantity record it said 1E+07. I was going to put on a trade today and the 1E+07 was in the Quantity. Looking for some thoughts.

Can you attach your brokerage.otd file from the Brokerage folder?

1E+07 is displayed when the qty is 10 million. Is the positive/negative issue only occurring on trades where the qty displays that format?

Thanks Barry I figured it was something along those lines...But I am still in the dark as to why the Open Positions > Current P/L [$] would show an amount such as $1300 to the positive and then post in Position History>Realized Profit -$36,600 loss I know the amounts are absurd but the math should still work. The $36,600 is the difference between the -$111,000 Buy Order purchase price and the +$74,400 Sell Order. Those 3 numbers make sense to me. However, the Open Positions P/L seems to bear no connection to those numbers. For example the amount of the buy is rightly posted at the time of order and obviously the sell cannot be. So if you are taking the P/L Open Orders tab at face value one assumes that the trade is profitable/losing, but that is not really known until the sell post is made. Sometimes it is in harmony with the believed trade direction, but usually not the same amount, and sometime it is not. Sometimes it is by a little and sometimes as above it is by a lot. Looking for some thoughts, Thanks.
