Subject : marketscan takes down OT

Market scan has caused a nearly infinite number of boxes to apear sequentially in my OT. I hit cancel over and over on each box and more appear, even after rebooting the computer without VT or marketscan... I can no longer use OT because marketscan and VT were running at the same time... now OT will not come up without the long list of stocks it thinks I need to add. Marketscan is clearly set to sync with VT, but it doing something to OT, making it unusable. I'm using 2E OT. The sample box is attached.

Rob,

Close MarketScans and then open OmniTrader, Click Tools > Options > OmniScan and remove the check from Sync MarketScans list in Real Time Profiles.

You should not be getting those symbol message boxes but because MarketScans is attempting to add symbols not in your OmniTrader Symbols database you are seeing this. These instructions should help you use OT without the messages.
