Good morning all...
I was just reading the attached article in Forbes this morning about a new Windows 10 update (KB4532693) that appears to have the potential to delete ALL USER DATA.
I'm in the process of installing the Windows Update Troubleshooter from the Microsoft support site recommended in the article.
I hope it's not a scam, and I haven't had any problems - yet - but since we all have to use Windows I thought it would be prudent to pass along the warning.
Maybe someone has more info or experience with this...???
If so, please reply...
Mark
P.S. Doing a Google search on "KB4532693 problems" yields a wealth of info about it - so it looks like a serious problem.

Thanks Mark for the notification! I see this update was installed on my system on 02-12-2020 - but no issues yet.
I'm no expert - but I have experienced many problems with MS Updates over the years. Consequently, I keep multiple mirror image backups of my C: drive dating back several weeks.
Recently I upgraded to Acronis True Image 2020 backup software and backup to a USB hard drive. It appears very reliable. I have totally restored my hard drive a few times recently with no issues.

Thanks for the additional link, Tony
Like you, Bruce, KB4532693 was "successfully" installed 3 days ago on my system on 2/16 and I haven't had any problems yet...
