How do i install my plugins for OT2020?

I want to install my plugins in OT2020. How to install? I remember we have programs like get_my_plugins or setup_plugins but i can not find such programs in OT2020. Any feedback will be appreciated, thanks, Irwan | ||||

Thank you for your feedback. I tried Help -> Registration. It displays a screen and message "No new CD-key found" and listed all my plugins. But how to install my plugins? | ||||

Trade secrets, ARM (club) add on for SW5 and CPS7, etc Here are the manually installed plug ins I needed. I figured these out by comparing the get my plugins list with my downloaded installs and looked for missing items. A couple of them are the same plug in, but different versions, and I'm not sure if either was complete. I installed the older one first then the later. Be nice if on the support page these were highlighted for us, incl download links... JS Now this is a huge step forward - I remember the days before get my plug ins even existed... To begin this comment, I want to stress that Nirvana products are generally helpful, some are very good, and likewise much of Nirvana educational programs. Especially Ed's webinars! Otherwise I would not be a ~30 year follower of Nirvana. But there are persistent customer related problems. I agree with the spirit of this thread, that this annual ritual of trying to figure out what Nirvana has not included in the "Get My Plug-ins" is very frustrating, *AGONIZING*, and seemingly unnecessarily difficult. I think the problem is that they have a very narrow view of what they want to be bothered with installing. Nirvana seems to use the nomenclature of "plugins" to exclude wide swaths of programs/resources that we purchase but then are left on our own to deal with the after-affects, of Nirvana not bothering to included them as options in the auto installation *process*. It is not like they do not know what we have purchased!! All of the courses for which I have paid show up in my account. Besides course resources for which I have paid, are NClub resources for which I likewise have paid but are *not* listed in my account. And it get worse: *NONE* of these last two groupings are listed in red at the end of the list of resources, as not being included in the "Get My Plugins". A simple prior year listing of *NEW* (OT2020) program and NClub resources, rather than a longer list going back in time, would be of great help in this matter. Every year . . . Oh, well. --Mark G. While I do appreciate Barry keeping the list up to date, it really *should* be alphabetical. Get My Plug-ins should load *everything* that the user has a license for at the time of the first OT release for that year. Even the special NClub stuff. My personal gripe is that it takes an incredibly LONG TIME to execute. And you can’t just kick it off then go to bed. About 20% thru the process, a popup appears requiring you to respond about some CPS thing … say “yes” or abort. EGAD! Who’s gonna say “no”? And, if you wake up in the morning to find the install paused at 20% because of that silly prompt, it really is an “argh” moment. Following that, you’ve no idea how many more such prompted pauses will occur - so you have to keep half an eye on the process as it SLOOOWLY completes. Nirvana - please either remove those prompts, or if they are absolutely needed, ask about them all at the start of the process. Don’t get me wrong, even as it stands, Get My Plug-ins is FAR BETTER than having to laboriously install everything one at a time. [Edited by Jim Dean on 11/24/2020 4:51 PM] | ||||

I may have mis-interpreted my about screen too. It's what I have but not necessarily installed. As a cross-check I was doing a folder file count compared to 2020. /Tradeplans had 171 in 2020 and 179 in 2021. /Strategies 2020 492, 2021 496 /Plugins 2020 76, 2021 77 /Profiles 2020 137, 2021 139 /VBA/Indicators 2020 64, 2021 64. I will probably eventually find something missing but so far, so good. | ||||

So the ATM3(1) was an update on the original ATM3 and like I said I seem to remember it was different and I think was also needed. Don't recall why I think that! The 2 TS ones I just missed and had 2 copies downloaded. Only one required I think GMPI also covers Guppy2. The SW listed is the ARM add on - separate install I have 4 OT loads so keeping this stuff straight is a big hassle! Oh, I wish patterns were NOT automatically enabled (at lvl 5) when you install OT. If you don't use it but it's on it just slows things down! Change the default to OFF plz | ||||

That list on the forum plugin page is the order that plugins are released. By being in that order allows me to also show which newly released plugins are not yet included in Get My Plugins. That couldn't be done if it were alphabetic. I can make you an alphabetic list of plugins if you want, but from the looks of it the list you seem to want is the list of things to install that is NOT included in Get My Plugins. And the reason many things are not included in Get My Plugins, like Trade Secrets & ATM Method installs, is because those installs do not have individual security. There may be a few we can add to Get My Plugins though.
That would be a bug that I wasn't aware of. I'll check it out. Get My Plugins should have zero prompts after you get it started. | ||||

The obvious question is could you package these installs in an .exe? If not, given that the installs are found in different locations could you put these installs in a single location and give us a link? | ||||

How about a club specific "get my plugins.exe"? Since we all get club stuff it could be packaged up into one thing. This list keeps getting longer. There is ARM4 stuff on it? CAMPIVOTS are how old? 1. I have a swing trader email that takes me to squeeze trader. Are they the same? 2. I can't find any assets for Trade Secret 3 - Major Reversals 3. I did find another TS - Trade Secret 4 - Finding Big Reversal Moves with Divergence - it contains 3 strategies starting with DTM... 4. I also found BP Compression Files in Trade Secret 2 - Find and Trade the Best Breakouts with the Breakout Package - Breakout Package Webinar. I could find the rest of the items you listed, although I did spend some time tracking down emails from Ed to get the correct links. It's definitely a good idea to provide a download page for the non club things. | ||||

trendbreak, RSITLB and campivot installs don't see OT21. Dynamic strats only sees 2020 |
